Carbon Steel

Machine Screws

Machine screws have a machine thread along their full shank and are driven into tapped holes or used with nuts. Our PM series covers small machine thread screws — a current supply line — in 304 stainless steel, nickel plated and black oxide finishes.

About this category

Unlike self-tapping screws, machine screws do not cut their own thread: they mate with a pre-tapped hole or a nut. That gives repeatable clamping and lets the joint be assembled and disassembled many times, which is why machine screws dominate precision assemblies and electronics.

Small machine screws are usually specified by diameter and length in millimetres with a pan or flat head and a cross recess drive. Because they are ordered in many sizes at once, mixed-spec consolidation is the normal way to buy them — which is exactly the supply model we run.

Typical applications

  • Electronics and small appliance assembly
  • Instruments, meters and enclosures with tapped holes
  • Furniture and hardware fittings used with nuts
  • Maintenance where a tapped thread already exists

Materials & finishes

Carbon steel screws supplied in two surface finishes: bright nickel plating for a clean decorative look, and black oxide for a low-glare, economical technical finish. The base steel is the same in both lines — the finish changes appearance and mild-corrosion behaviour, so stainless steel stays the choice for damp and outdoor use. Current lines cover self-tapping, machine, hex socket and screw-and-washer assemblies. Any specific size or grade depends on the item and is confirmed with your quotation.

Machine Screws — common questions

Do you supply matching nuts or washers for machine screws?

Our current catalog focuses on screws and screw-and-washer assemblies. For nuts or washers, send the specification with your RFQ — we can assess sourcing options case by case and confirm with a quotation.

What does "PM series" mean?

It is our internal series code for small machine thread screws. The product pages carry the full description so you can match by head type, material and finish without knowing the code.

How do I order several sizes in one inquiry?

Use the Bulk / Multi-SKU RFQ on the RFQ page — one line per size. We consolidate multi-spec orders and quote them together.
